Traditional high-class butcher
Ashbee & Son is a traditional butcher's shop in the historic market town of Rye and has been a landmark feature of the High Street since the 1850s. The shop still has the original front with brass plates and hooks used to hang meat outside the shop many years ago.
At Ashbee & Son you will find locally produced, high quality meat from local farms, including Elm's Farm organic rare-breed beef, lamb, pork and venison. Hand-made sausages and burgers, free range and organic chicken are always available, together with local game when in season. A wide range of locally made English cheese is also sold.
Ashbee & Son is now part of Winchelsea Farm Foods, owned by Soil Association certified Elm's Farm in Winchelsea, and providing high quality meat, cheese and gourmet food products through a number of shops for customers in and around the beautiful Sussex town of Winchelsea.
